A History of an Amateur Glamour Studio in London, England where many renowned models were photographed between 1982 and 2001
West London Studio Workshop
1982-2001
A Retrospective
(sometimes also known as West London Studios - there is however no connection with the new registrants of the name West London Studios, who may be currently trading under that name)
West London Studio Workshop started in a railway arch in Hammersmith London, in 1983. It provided opportunities to photograph top glamour models such as Lindzi Drew, Marie Harper, Louise Hodges, Tracey Coleman, Teresa May, Sally Costello, Tiffany Walker...... right up until 2001.
This site will feature a history of the studio and club. Some of you may be interested in the words (which will duly be written) but most of you will be interested in the hundreds of pictures taken at the studio which this site will feature.
Many of the photographers who moved to WLS came from a previous venture at Southall, and many of the photographers (and models) who were recently working in Hammersmith have now moved to use Mirage Studios in Uxbridge
Even though the club had closed we still ran outdoor shoots last summer.
At the moment this site only features pictures of recent models (many of whom can be booked through mirage studios), however over the course of the coming months we hope to develop a comprehensive gallery of articles and pictures detailing a full history of the West London Studio Workshop, its models and its members
If you were a member and have any pictures or anecdotes please feel free to send them to us
